Zhou Song, born in Jiangxi in 1982, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2006, and now lives and works in Beijing.
Zhou Song’s paintings explore the connection between biomorphology and mechanical aesthetics at the intersection of art, science and philosophy, both post-humanist and deeply human. Whether it is the potential consequences of contemporary applied science, or the invisible impact of the ever-expanding universe on human desire and destiny, Zhou Song’s paintings are full of life in a state of contradiction and openness.
